Play8oy from its old screenshots: one lobby and 25 games

The old lpe88.life page on Play8oy was a sales pitch. It called slot games "everyone's addiction", said new games every day would help players "increase their income", and offered three download buttons and a chat link. Gambling is not an income, and the chat and the files are long gone. What is worth keeping is one lobby screenshot and 25 short game pages from 2019, each with three or four screenshots. This page is written from those pictures: the lobby, how IDs, credit and installs really work, and then each game in turn.

What Play8oy is

Play8oy is a casino app for phones and Windows computers, built mostly around video slots, with fishing tables and arcade games next to them. The name is spelt with an 8, and the logo in the lobby reads Casino Play8oy. Nothing on screen says who runs it or where it is licensed, so we don't guess. Several of its games also appear on Mega888, 918Kiss or LPE88, sometimes in a similar frame and sometimes not, but Play8oy is its own app with its own IDs and its own balance.

What the Play8oy lobby looks like

The one lobby picture is purple and gold. A banner across the top reads Spin 4 Rich, with a Grand jackpot meter under it, and seven tabs sit below: Hot, Fish, Multi, Slots, S4R JP, Arcade and Live. S4R JP is short for the Spin 4 Rich jackpot, and a few tiles carry that badge. The page of tiles on screen holds Queen, three Ocean King II EX rooms marked Rookie, Normal and Club, Hercules, Golden Rooster, Fortune Panda, Ocean King 2, Monkey King and a racing game called Super Speed. Arrows and four dots show there were more pages.

On the left, a small window previews an arcade wheel game, and under it sit Android and iOS buttons with a QR code. A ticker along the top announces another player's prize in MYR, and the bottom bar shows a ringgit balance next to an EV Wallet button. We don't show this screen, because it carries a QR code, an account name, a balance and model art on two of the tiles.

Inside a Play8oy game

Almost every slot here uses the same frame, which makes the screenshots easy to compare. A Score box at top left holds your credit with no currency sign, and we blurred it on every picture. Most slots add four jackpot meters next to it, Grand, Major, Minor and Mini, and an info button, a settings cog and a home button sit on the right. Along the bottom run Lines, Play with minus and plus buttons, Total Play, Win and a green Spin button marked hold for autospin. Total Play is simply lines times play.

A few games change one box. Dragons Legend shows Level instead of Lines, Fire Spin puts a Double button there, and Fortune Tree and Golden Rooster have a Gold Symbol setting that Total Play follows. Several rule screens also print a jackpot share table: bet at least a stated amount for half the jackpot, and twice that for all of it.

How a Play8oy ID and credit work

There is no sign up screen in Play8oy. An agent, or a site with access to the Play8oy back office, creates the ID and password and hands them to you. You pay in ringgit, usually by bank transfer, DuitNow or an e-wallet, and the same person loads that amount onto your ID as credit, which is the Score you see in each game. Cashing out runs back through the same person, who takes the credit off and pays you on their own timing.

That balance belongs to Play8oy alone. It won't appear on any other app on this site, even where the same game runs on both. Keep a screenshot of every transfer, start small and try a small withdrawal early on. Nobody issuing a game ID needs your online banking password or a TAC. The partner box further down belongs to a separate casino with its own account, and it doesn't issue Play8oy IDs.

Installing and logging in to Play8oy

The old page had three buttons, Play8oy for Android, for iOS and for Windows, all on a file host that has since been deleted, and the lobby itself printed a download QR code. We don't host or link any of these files. Play8oy isn't in Google Play or the App Store, so on Android an install means allowing "install unknown apps" for one source, which you should switch off again afterwards. On an iPhone it means trusting an enterprise profile that Apple can revoke at any time. A Windows installer from someone you don't know deserves the same caution. Pass on anything sold as a Play8oy mod, hack or "latest APK": results are settled on the server, so a changed file can't change them, but it can read your messages. Your login is the ID and password your issuer gave you, typed into the app's own login screen and nowhere else. Our install notes for Play8oy cover each device.

Twenty five games follow from A to Z, each written from its own screenshots. The old notes often described a different game or another studio's version, so where they clash with the screens, we go with the screens. The other apps each have a game list of their own.

African Wildlife

Cartoon animals in round frames share the reels with safari kit. The lion pays most, 2000 for five, ahead of an elephant, a rhino, a zebra and an ostrich, while a rucksack, binoculars, a compass on a map, a water flask and a pith helmet fill the gaps.

Boards on both sides say 50 lines, and the shots play 2 a line for 100. An explorer girl marked Bonus starts the bonus game with three or more anywhere. Mega888 carries it too.

Aladdin

Twenty lines at a play of 1, under a red and gold palace arch. Aladdin himself, in a white turban, pays most at 1000 for five, ahead of a scowling bandit, a flying carpet and a curved sword, with ornate card ranks below.

The golden lamp is the wild, and three or more start the free games, where one randomly picked symbol expands to fill its reel. It is also on Joker123 and 918Kiss.

Alice

Wonderland on 15 lines, with every shot at 6 a line for 90. Alice tops the odds table at 1000 for five, then the blue caterpillar with his pipe, the Mad Hatter, the Red Queen and a spade card guard. Lower down sit a book titled Alice, a potion bottle, a cupcake, a teapot and a teacup. A WILD tile and a Fever pocket watch are the specials, and one spin pays 300 for two Alices and a wild. Joker123 and 918Kiss list Alice too.

Amazon Jungle

Seven round stone windows set in a temple wall replace the reels, each spinning on its own. They stop on a jaguar cub, a blue frog, a parrot, a monkey, a coiled snake or a crocodile, and three frogs in a line pay 6 at 9 lines and a play of 2.

The bonus moves inside the temple, where a key means next, a coin means win and a skull ends it. One run finishes on a Mega Win of 1350. See also Mega888.

Captain Roger

Cartoon pirates in front of a calm sea, at 9 lines and 10 a line. The captain in a black hat tops the odds table with 5000 for five, then a red bearded pirate, a girl in a red bandana, a monkey in a bandana and a parrot. Cannons, a skull coin, crossed pistols, an anchor and a spyglass make up the rest.

A pirate ship in a gold frame is the scatter. Two bandana girls on line 8 pay 30.

Dolphin

A purple cartoon dolphin is the top symbol at 1000 for five, in an underwater frame with no jackpot meters. Below it come a clownfish, an octopus, a seahorse, a turtle, a pufferfish and a gold coin.

A shark marked WILD and a treasure chest marked BONUS are the specials. At 9 lines and a play of 2, a spin with four gold coins along the bottom row pays 30. The pearls and the studio named in the old text appear nowhere.

Dragons Legend

There are no paylines: panels on both sides say 243 ways, and the bet box reads Level 30 where Lines usually is. A phoenix pays most, 1000 for five, ahead of a guardian lion, a golden koi, a turtle and red envelopes, above card ranks from A to 9.

A green dragon's face and a gold 太平 coin also land. One round of free spins reaches 20 of 20 and ends on a Big Win of 1700. The reels are five by three, not the 50 line grid of the old text.

Fire Spin

A three by three fruit machine beside a big wheel with Fire Spin written across it. The symbols are blue sevens, red sevens, BAR, diamonds, bells, watermelons, plums, oranges and cherries.

The odds screen adds an Anypay grid that pays for four to nine of one symbol anywhere, with a full screen of sevens listed at 4000. A Double button takes the place of Lines. At a play of 10, four cherries paid 40.

Fong Shen

Chinese legend on pale tiles, at 9 lines and 2 a line. A white bearded sage tops the table with 1000 for five, followed by a woman in a feathered crown, a young warrior, a girl in red, a blue qilin, a phoenix, a crane and a blue beast.

The bagua disc is the wild. Three or more of the five element coins start the Gods Listen Up bonus, which plays again if it pays nothing. Mega888 lists it as Feng Shen.

Fortune Panda

Five reels of four rows in a bamboo forest, with 25 LINER boards on both sides and the shots at 4 a line for 100. The panda pays most, 1000 for five, although the old page crowned the bamboo. The other symbols are a jade pendant, a drum, red envelopes, an orange, a 招財進寶 coin, bamboo, an apple, a radish, a lantern and a paper butterfly. A gold seal marked WILD substitutes, and three gold ingots start free games that keep adding wilds. Mega888 has a Fortune Panda as well.

Fortune Tree

Red lanterns marked 吉祥 and 如意 hang beside reels labelled All Ways, and the rules confirm 243 ways, paid from the left. Four meters above the reels read Dragon, Phoenix, Tiger and Horse, with a glowing tree in the middle.

Each animal comes plain and in gold, and the gold one pays more. The bet row has a Gold Symbol setting instead of Lines, 128 or 48 in these shots. A jade coin is the bonus. The fish, crickets and 30 lines of the old text don't show.

God of Wealth

A laughing God of Wealth in red robes tops the table at 1000 for five, with a second god in a blue hat, a boy holding 喜, a girl in pink, a drum, a jade pendant, firecrackers and a 乾隆 coin below him.

A red 發 is the wild, and with two or more on screen each one unfolds into three wilds down its reel. A blue 發 works as a second wild. Lion dance heads bring 10, 20 or 50 free spins. ACE333 also lists a God of Wealth.

Golden Rooster

A rooster themed slot in red and gold, with All Ways down both sides. A bar at the top lists the Active Symbols: rooster, jade disc, silver ingot and firecrackers. Each comes plain and in gold, and gold pays far more, 500 for five gold roosters against 50 for red ones.

The Gold Symbol box sits where Lines usually is. A round red medallion is the scatter, worth 15 or 20 free games.

Great Blue

Bubbly card ranks from 9 to A on pale blue reels, with a shark, a turtle, a seahorse, a starfish and a tropical fish. An orca is the wild: it substitutes for everything except the scatter, doubles wins and pays 10000 for five. A pink clam with a pearl is the scatter, and the rules promise up to 33 free spins and a multiplier of up to 15. The shots play 25 lines at 4 each, and four tens on line 21 pay 100. Compare LPE88 and Joker123.

Hercules

Greek temples behind cream coloured reels, at 20 lines and 5 a line. Hercules pays 5000 for five and the lion 1000, while a cornucopia, a jewelled belt, a round shield, crossed swords, a bow with arrows, a spiked club, a gold coin and a silver coin with a winged horse fill the rest.

The odds screen we have shows no wild or scatter, and the studio named in the old text isn't on screen either.

Highway King

On screen this is Highroad Kings JP, a truck slot on 9 lines at 10 a line. Three big rigs, blue, yellow and green, head the odds table, with five blue trucks at 10000. Below them come a jerry can, fuel pumps, a spark plug, dice, a piston, a tyre and a steering wheel. A red badge with twin exhaust pipes is the scatter, and two spark plugs at the right end of line 4 pay 20. LPE88 has a different Highway Kings.

Laura

A jungle adventure on 15 lines, with a single Jackpot meter at the top instead of four. A woman explorer shares the reels with a tribal warrior, a green jeep, a compass, a whip and stone card ranks. A gold idol mask is the wild and doubles wins. Three Free Game signs start 15 free games at triple pay, and five JP symbols in a row win the jackpot, half of it from a total bet of 75 and all of it from 150. 918Kiss has Laura too.

Monkey Kings

The lobby tile says MonkeyKing. The Monkey King in gold armour leads the reels at 1000 for five, then a bull demon, a lady with a cat ear headdress and a white haired lady with a flower. A green leaf fan, a red gourd, a golden circlet and a bundle of bamboo slips are the lower symbols.

It plays 9 lines paid both ways, not the 243 ways of the old page. A red Bonus gate lands too, and three circlets pay 30.

Ocean King 2 EX

A fishing game, not a slot. It opens on a choice of eight tables, and the lobby offers Rookie, Normal and Club rooms.

Inside, a cannon at the bottom fires at lobsters, clownfish, goldfish and rays swimming past, and minus and plus buttons set the shot value. The rules screen explains private rooms: pick a free table, share the code shown on its free seats, and friends type the room number and code to join.

Pirate

Twenty lines at 5 a line on a ship's deck. A hook handed pirate pays most, 1000 for five, followed by a captain with a spyglass, a woman pirate, a sailor with a tankard and a bearded gunner holding a bomb, then a parrot, a galleon, a skull flag, a flintlock and crossed cutlasses. A gold coin wild lands on reels 2, 3 and 4, and a Bomb Wild on reel 3 turns nearby symbols wild. Three Bonus symbols start the Pirate Battle game. We haven't pictured this one.

Pirates Treasures

The logo reads Pirat's Treasure, misspelt. A cutlass is the top symbol at 5000 for five, then a treasure map, an anchor and a ship's wheel, with parchment card ranks below. A treasure chest marked SCATTER pays on its own.

Wins pay both ways, but five of a kind only once. At 7 a line, one spin paid 182 over three lines under the banner You're the winner, and the rules card carries the Spin 4 Rich name.

Robin Hood

Fifteen lines at 6 a line in a forest. Robin in green tops the table at 1000 for five, followed by a strongman, a friar, a sly nobleman in purple, a sealed scroll, a gold shield, a money bag, a feathered hat and apples. A horn marked Scatter is the scatter.

When a Golden Arrow lands on reel 5, Robin shoots at symbols and they become Robin Hood wilds. The rules also mention a separate Jackpot Game.

Seasons Greeting

A holiday mix on 9 lines at 2 a line. A lion dance head pays 1000 for five and a Christmas tree 400, then an ox head, a roast bird, a white opera mask, a heart with roses and a red paper lantern.

Three Seasons Greetings symbols start a bonus game, and five of a kind laid out in a cross shape leads into a Holiday Party. A wild covers everything except the bonus. Four lanterns pay 20.

The Magician Plus

A stage magic slot on 9 lines. The magician pays 1000 for five and the MAGIC logo 750, above a snake, a canary, a crystal ball, a top hat, crossed daggers and a gloved hand with a candle. Three jackpot meters carry portraits of a woman, a white tiger and a monkey.

The magician next to the woman gives a free game, and next to the tiger and monkey a bonus score. Five in a line wins a jackpot, half of it from a total play of 90.

Three Kingdom

Warlords of old China on 9 lines at 2 a line. A golden dragon seal tops the table at 1000 for five, with a crowned lord, a strategist in a blue hat, a green robed general, a lady, a red horse, a feather fan and a bow with a quiver below.

Flags marked 魏 are the wild. Three, four or five Bonus symbols play the bonus game once, twice or three times. The old notes' 20 fixed lines don't show. 3Win8 has Three Kingdoms.
